Growing up playing tennis, I felt really connected to this project from the start. Of course, I wanted to capture the speed, intensity, and athleticism of the athletes competing at the highest level, but I was even more interested in the journey that got them there. When we watch players like Venus Williams and Taylor Townsend compete, it's easy to focus on the match itself. But what has always fascinated me is everything that happens before that moment...the years of training, the sacrifices, the setbacks, and the commitment it takes just to earn a place on that stage.

That idea became the foundation of the film. Through archival footage and voiceover, I wanted to highlight the moments people rarely get to see. The early mornings, the practice courts, the long road trips, and the work that happens when nobody is watching. To me, the WTA is more than a place where great athletes compete. It's where years of preparation finally meet opportunity. This film is a celebration of the dedication, resilience, and belief that drive these athletes long before they ever step under the lights.
